I decided to share this list of Oktoberfest gift ideas because, even though Oktoberfest spans a mere 16 days on the calendar (a few years we get 18!), for some people it lasts all year long.
To the Oktoberfest lovers in your life, this festival is more than just a two-week celebration of beer and brats. To those who “get it” Oktoberfest is a way of life, a tradition, an unforgettable feeling, a hope. And after they’ve waited all year for it, it’s always over before you can say Freundschaftsbezeugung.
This list of Oktoberfest gift ideas will help you decide what to get for the person in your life who casually wears lederhosen on the weekends, for whom Bavarian pretzels are one of the basic food groups, or who jokes about wanting to name their son Aloisius just a little too often.
If you have someone in your life who owns enough dirndls to outfit the von Trapp clan, let this list of great gifts for Oktoberfest lovers be your guiding light.
Gifts for Oktoberfest lovers
I used a few different sources for this list but stuck mainly with Etsy. I love shopping Etsy for holiday and birthday gifts since you not only can find incredibly unique items, but you’re also helping small-time artisans grow their businesses.
You can communicate directly with the sellers and even customize many of the items for a more personalized gift. It truly is a great way to shop this season!
Oktoberfest gift ideas for the home
What happens at Oktoberfest does not stay at Oktoberfest. At least a little part of everyone’s experience ends up on a wall, on a shelf, or as a conversation piece. A hilarious conversation about whipping boys and weisswurst perhaps. Here’s how to contribute to the conversation.
1. Biergarten signs
There’s a plethora of beautiful handmade biergarten signs available in all shapes, sizes, and styles.
Whether you choose to gift one of the customizable signs, metal signs, wooden versions, or something else, there’s no doubt that every Oktoberfest lover’s home should display one of these. Some of my favorites are:
- This Personalized Barrel End Biergarten Sign – Such a beautiful piece and I love that it’s personalized! Adding to my own Christmas list actually…
- This blue enamel plaque biergarten sign, much like the one I have – These signs are simple yet add a true touch of Europe to any space.
- This exceptionally German carved Biergarten + Willkommen sign – This beautifully engraved sign is available in 7 colors!
2. Oktoberfest cookie cutters
I’m obsessed with these Oktoberfest cookie cutters! If you don’t want to go through the trouble of making the full-sized lebkuchenherzen, these adorable cookie cutters are a fabulous substitute. (They even come with holes for ribbons!) Plus the beer and pretzel versions are just too perfect.
The Oktoberfest lover in your life will love these (and hopefully share the subsequent goodies). You can buy all three as a set or just pick and choose the ones you like.
3. Oktoberfest cookbook
This cookbook–Oktoberfest Cookbook: Authentic Recipes From the World’s Greatest Beer Festival–by Julia Skowronek is full of great, authentic recipes from the ‘Fest.
It also includes many of the recipes from my posts on German Christmas market foods you can enjoy at home and must-have Oktoberfest party foods!
It covers everything from snacks and appetizers to entrées, side dishes, vegetarian meals (they do exist!), desserts and other baked goods. Plus, she drops a hefty amount of useful Oktoberfest knowledge in between!
4. Personalized charcuterie board
If you know someone who hosts Oktoberfest parties at home or just always has people over, this personalized charcuterie board is such a great gift!
Charcuterie boards (brotzeit) are one of the must-have Oktoberfest party foods and this quality piece of craftsmanship is perfect with divided sections for all the parts. Plus, you can personalize it with the recipient’s name in some cool designs.
Pro tip: How to build a proper brotzeit platter is included in the Oktoberfest cookbook featured above!
5. Gemütlichkeit sign
If you’ve been to Oktoberfest, you’re familiar with gemütlichkeit–the feeling of coziness, fun, and good times you can only experience inside the beer tents.
You can’t always take gemütlichkeit home with you (hello, 50-hour workweek), but you can bring home a reminder!
This custom wooden gemütlichkeit sign is laser carved and made to order. I love the 3D look of it and the fact that you can choose from a selection of stain colors. Plus, the turnaround time is pretty quick!
6. Your memories on canvas
I love filling my walls with my own memories from my trips, especially Oktoberfest. Getting your photos blown up on canvas makes a great, one-of-a-kind gift.
I’ve blown up pictures to hang on my own walls at home, and I’ve ordered them at Christmas gifts for friends from trips we’ve gone on together.
The ordering process is super easy, the quality is great, and the prices are more than reasonable!
Oktoberfest gift ideas for dirndl wearers
In the immortal words of What About Bob‘s Bob Wiley, “Gimme gimme, I need I need!” The dirndl-wearers in your life will love a dirndl-related gift. (It is our favorite thing to wear after all.)
Luckily, there’s an almost endless list of dirndl accessories out there for your gift-giving needs. Check out a few of my favorites here:
7. Dirndl accessories
For dirndl accessories, look no further than Rare Dirndl, my favorite dirndl-maker right here in the U.S. Rare Dirndl has:
8. Dirndl jewelry
Additionally, there’s a huge collection of must-have, Oktoberfest-related jewelry on this list of perfect Oktoberfest gift ideas. Check out these awesome items:
- Natural gemstone pretzel + edelweiss bracelets in two shades – If ever there was a piece of jewelry made for yours truly, it’s these bracelets. These would go great with any and all dirndls!
- Simple silver pretzel necklace and pretzel earrings – Look at any of my Oktoberfest photos; I proudly wear my pretzel necklaces every single time. They’re perfectly simple and make the best dirndl accessory when you’re not really an “accessorizer.”
- And that’s just a sample of Rare Dirndl’s extensive Oktoberfest jewelry collection. Get to shopping!
9. Rare Dirndl gift certificate
Can’t decide what to give from all the choices? Rare Dirndl also sells gift cards! Cash for dirndl accessories is always one of the best Oktoberfest gift ideas.

Oktoberfest gift ideas for lederhosen wearers
Hey, men need accessories too! Especially the lederhosen-clad kind. And yes, there are tons of accessories available to lederhosen lovers, believe it or not. Check out these super masculine Oktoberfest gift ideas:
10. Lederhosen accessories
- Perhaps some new lederhosen socks are in order? You can’t go wrong with these loferl, the proper calf warmers that always look great! Here’s how to wear loferl the right way if you’re curious.
- Or a new lederhosen belt. I love this one with the two lions holding the Bavarian coat of arms.
- And you can’t go wrong with a new Bavarian hat (though asking for a head size may be a weird prelude to the holidays).
Let’s talk charivaris–the decorative chain filled with good luck charms. Though they once used to be “trophies” from hunting excursions (think bear teeth and hawk talons), they’ve (thankfully) evolved over the years.
You won’t look out of place without a charivari, but it really adds a touch of local flavor and will give an “in-the-know” impression at the Wiesn. Here are some great charivari options:
Pretzel gifts for Oktoberfest lovers
Ah yes, my favorite section, because I am the biggest pretzel-lover if there ever was one. Pretzels are totally having a moment right now and the Oktoberfest gift ideas here are plenty! Take a look at some of these perfect pretzel gifts:
11. Pretzel pool float
If it’s not obvious from the above photo, I freaking love my pretzel pool float. Pretzels aren’t just for the days of Oktoberfest. This is such a fun way to keep the pretzel love strong all year long! (Soon to be pictured in an actual pool – stay tuned.)
12. Pretzel tote bag
This pretty pretzel tote bag is perfect for toting all your Oktoberfest goodies when traveling to Munich or just picking up some pretzels at your local bakery. Plus, it comes with free shipping and a fast turnaround time!
13. Hot Pretzels candle
My favorite thing about baking fresh Bavarian pretzels at home is how amazing my house smells. (I mean, have you ever been to a mall ever? Okay then.) And now there’s a candle so you can get the delicious scent without the calories!
Your pretzel-loving loved ones will totally dig this hot pretzels vegan soy candle that smells like fresh sweet and salty pretzels.
14. Pretzel patch
Easily personalize a backup, denim jacket, or, I don’t know, maybe you’re part of a cool pretzel scout club and you need to earn your pretzel patch. (Where’s my invite?)
If so, this quality pretzel patch makes the perfect stocking stuffer. Plus the wicked quick transaction and free shipping can’t be beat.
15. Pretzel shirt
I love this minimalist pretzel shirt. It’s such a great and totally subtle way to show off your not-so-subtle love of twisty bread.
And if you just don’t feel like wearing a dirndl one day (u ok?), this makes a great substitute.
16. Pretzel gift box from Eastern Standard Provisions
There are so many pretzel gift boxes available from Eastern Standard Provisions you’d be hard-pressed not to find a perfect gift.
They all have great themes like the “Let’s Get Saucy” box that includes a variety of mustards and the “St. Jude Gift of Hope” box from which $10 of every purchase goes to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a cause near and dear to my own heart. They have holiday-themed boxes as well.
17. Mickey pretzel purse
I got so many people asking about my Mickey Mouse pretzel purse when I posted this picture on Facebook and Instagram. This purse resembles a Mickey-shaped pretzel (a popular treat at the Disney parks). It features an Alpine hat on the front and the word “Oktoberfest” on the back. However, it’s as hard to find as it is amazing.
The Mickey pretzel purse is only available at the main gift shop inside the Germany Pavilion at Walt Disney World’s Epcot. If there’s a trip to Disney World in your future, be sure to pick one up while you’re there for the Oktoberfest/Disney lover in your life.
(You can also get all of your Oktoberfest gift shopping done in that one spot. Just sayin’.)
Beer gifts for Oktoberfest lovers
It’s pretty much a given that if your friend or family member is an Oktoberfest enthusiast that he or she is also a beer lover (though there are some exceptions). If that’s the case, you can’t go wrong with these Oktoberfest gift ideas for beer lovers:
18. Liter-sized Oktoberfest beer mug
Each year at Oktoberfest security guards confiscate around 100,000 glass Oktoberfest mugs at the checkpoints from people trying to steal them. ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND. Clearly, these are hot items. Every Oktoberfest beer drinker wants one!
Hello? Perfect Christmas gift! Check out this authentic 1-liter Hofbräuhaus München beer mug. It’s great for drinking out of at home (guilty), whether you’re having an at-home Oktoberfest party or just watching This Is Us and drinking your sorrows away.
19. Das boot of your own
You won’t necessarily find a boot at Oktoberfest in Munich, but that doesn’t mean it wouldn’t make a great gift for an Oktoberfest fan. German beer drinkers love das boot and it would be a funny gift to give. Check out this 2-liter glass Oktoberfest boot.
20. Beer brewing kit
Have a beer lover in your life who you think would love to brew their own? To become a full-on homebrewer requires a lot of equipment and commitment, but these homebrewing starter kits are the perfect way for them to dip their toes in.
This way, they get to test out brewing their own beer and get to drink beer they brewed themselves. It’s so rewarding! I mean, I’ve never brew anything but my husband does. Drinking beer that’s brewed for me and named after me? Just as rewarding!
These kits come with all the necessary equipment and ingredients for such a great price.
21. Personalized wall-mounted beer opener
These personalized wall-mounted bottle openers are such a blessing to any house (I’m also a client). It’s an easy (and kickass) way to open beers at home while being a great-looking addition.
These in particular are customizable between two different shades of wood and a variety of engravings. (Go for the “Lion” motif for a very Bavarian look.) Plus, they’re magnetized to catch the bottle caps.
Munich-inspired gifts for Oktoberfest lovers
For many of us, we take more than just the feeling of Oktoberfest home with us–we take a piece of Munich as well. While Oktoberfest may be the reason many visitors head to Munich in the first place, there’s no denying this city has its own kind of magic that doesn’t soon leave our hearts.
For those, there are these Oktoberfest gift ideas for Munich lovers:
22. Munich prints
There is such a variety of beautiful Munich prints out there. Here are the ones I particularly love:
- This colorful Munich cityscape that includes the most iconic structures along with beer, pretzel, and Oktoberfest love
- This vintage-style Munich travel poster with many recognizable sites (pictured above)
- And this awesome gold foil Munich map design. You can choose from a variety of background colors, between gold and silver foil, and even order them already framed.
23. Munich pillows
Like art prints, there are so many different styles of decorative throw pillows showing off love for Munich. I love these for showing off some of your favorite cities around the world. Here are some great ones:
- This Munich pillow from the Been There & Loved It series featuring all the best Oktoberfest symbols (pictured above)
- This MUC Munich airport baggage tag throw pillow (That description sounds weird, you may need to just check it out.) This is a perfect gift for Munich airport lovers! Why love the Munich airport? Well, for starters there’s a full-on Munich airport brewery and beer garden.
- This subtle Munich map pillow featuring the Theresienwiese
Oktoberfest gift ideas for pet owners
Chances are, if your dog was to accompany you to Oktoberfest, he’d probably have a grand ol’ time too, endless supply of sausages and all. But since there are very few souvenirs you can actually bring back for your four-legged drinking buddy, here are a few Oktoberfest gift ideas for pet owners:
24. Oktoberfest dog collars
Help your loved ones show off their love of Oktoberfest all over the dog park. Here are some of the best Oktoberfest dog collars and leashes:
- This blue or brown prosting beers dog collar (there’s even a cat version)
- This Bavarian flag pattern dog collar with matching 6-foot leash
- I love this Bavarian pretzel dog collar
- and though not exactly a collar, this Bavarian flag dog bandana is a must (especially if the recipient has a German Shepherd)
Now, I’m not really about dressing up your pets, but this lederhosen vest harness is an acceptable alternative. Plus, it’s hella funny.
25. Oktoberfest pet toys
We shouldn’t be the only ones to get our play and chew on! Turns out there’s even pretzel-themed pet toys out there like:
Oktoberfest gift ideas for the holidays
If you’re headed to a holiday party (say, a German Christmas market-themed party) and don’t want to show up empty-handed, you’ve got plenty of options. Check out these holiday-related Oktoberfest gift ideas:
26. Beer mug lanterns
These beer mug lanterns (pictured above) are such a great idea! Not only are they perfect as holiday luminaries, they’re just dang cute year-round.
27. Oktoberfest Christmas ornaments
Help your friends and family decorate their Christmas trees this season with some cute Oktoberfest-inspired tree ornaments. Check out these examples:
- Super cute set of 3 Oktoberfest ornaments featuring guy with keg, girl with stein, pig with pretzel
- This Frohe Weihnacht gingerbread heart that can be used as an ornament or just hung around the home. (They also do customization!)
- This salty glass-blown pretzel ornament
- These adorable minimalist wooden pretzel ornaments
Miscellaneous Oktoberfest gift ideas for everyone
28. Oktoberfest face masks
If we’ve gotta wear ’em, we might as well have fun in them and stop looking like we’re on our way into surgery. I love all of these Oktoberfest face masks and they would make great stocking stuffers or fun gifts among friends. Here are some cute ones:
- This beer, pretzel, sausage, and Bavarian hat face mask
- This white background pretzel, beer, accordion version
- This navy pretzel mask with filter pocket and adjustable ear straps
29. Oktoberfest board game
Yes, an Oktoberfest board game exists and you need to play it. It’s brought to you by the same company that makes some of the most popular board games in the world.
In this intense game of strategy you are a brewmaster who must keep his (or her) Oktoberfest beer tent open, operational, and supplying beer to the masses. Though I first thought this was just a gimmick, this game actually sounds pretty awesome.
I just found out about this game so I didn’t include it in my post on travel-themed board games, but I most definitely should have.
30. Prost rubber stamp
Do I want this Prost rubber stamp for myself? To slap onto just about every single article of mail that leaves my house? Absolutely! What a fun addition to stationary, holiday cards, greeting cards, medical paperwork, credit card payments, last wills and testaments!
31. Oktoberfest mouse ears
And speaking of Oktoberfest/Disney lovers, a grand amalgamation if I do say so myself, check out these amazing Oktoberfest-themed Disney gifts you can wear to the parks!
- Beer & Bavarian flag mouse ears – These are such a fun way to share your love of Bavaria + beer at Disney World.
- Not an ear-wearer? This mickey/beer hat is too cute (or whatever adjective you use to describe something labeled “Dad Hat”).
- Mouse Ears and Cold Beers pin – honestly two of my favorite things. 🤷♀️
32. Oktoberfest trip planning session
